Back up and Restore your Data

If you have a My.HomeRoutines account you can back up your data from any computer connected to the internet, and restore it from there.

Back up Data to a computer using My.Homeroutines ^

  1. Go to My.Homeroutines.com
  2. Log in
  3. Click on your Account tab
  4. Click Download a backup of your Home Routines data
  5. Save it to a safe place on your computer!

Restore Data from a computer using My.Homeroutines ^

  1. Go to My.Homeroutines.com
  2. Log in
  3. Click on your Account tab
  4. Under the Restore section, click Choose File
  5. Locate the file called homeroutinesdata.homeroutines
  6. Click Upload

If you don’t have a My.HomeRoutines account, the app can create a temporary server to wirelessly backup your HomeRoutines data to a file on your computer, and restore it from there.
You must be connected via WiFi to a computer for it to work.

Back up Data using Wifi ^

  1. Make sure your computer is switched on, and is connected to WiFi
  2. Make sure your phone is connected to WiFi
  3. Touch Help & Support on the home screen of HomeRoutines, on your phone/iPod
  4. Touch Backup and Restore
  5. Touch the Backup Server switch so it says ON
    A new step will appear on HomeRoutines.  Your phone/iPod is temporarily creating a web server (accessible on your wifi network) so that you can download your data.
  6. Open your browser on your computer, and type in the web address displayed on your phone/iPod
  7. Right-click on the Save Your Data link and save the file with your data to your computer.
  8. When you exit this screen, the web server on your phone will close

Remember where you saved it! And backup often.

Restore your Data from Backup file using Wifi ^

  1. Make sure your computer is switched on, and is connected to WiFi
  2. Make sure your phone is connected to WiFi
  3. Touch Help & Support on the home screen of HomeRoutines, on your phone/iPod
  4. Touch Backup and Restore
  5. Touch the Backup Server switch so it says ON
    A new step will appear on HomeRoutines.  Your phone/iPod is temporarily creating a web server so that you can restore your data.
  6. Open your browser on your computer, and type in the web address displayed on your phone/iPod
  7. Click Browse and locate the backed up HomeRoutines data file
  8. Click Upload to restore it to your device
